My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

HELLO! My name is Jur.
And I've decided to cycle around the planet. Yep. The entire thing. 30.000km. Starting from Rotterdam (the Netherlands) and then just kind of heading east until I reach... uhmm. Yeah. Rotterdam.
I'll be conquering the desert, the Himalaya's, the Pamir Highway, the Great Divide. All the crazy stuff. Big plans for someone who doesn't even like cycling.

Why?
I've struggled heavily with my mental health in the past. Life hasn't always been kind and it has impacted me severely. After going through some very tough years recently and being very close to ending it all, I made the decision to turn life upside down and turn my struggle into something positive.

On June 2nd, I have left behind my home, my friends & my job to cycle 30.000km in a lap around the world all solo.
Just packing a tent and some spare tubes. Frankly, I have no clue what I'm getting into. But I'm confident I will figure it out and get it done somehow. I'm putting my resilience and perseverance to the test.

I'm taking this opportunity to raise funds. What I've gone through I wouldn't wish upon anyone, and I am dead set on helping men in need. Heavy depression and loneliness have tried kicking my butt in the past, but the tables have turned. I will be the one kicking butt from now on. For myself & for all my fellow bros around the world.

I am putting my nose to the grindstone for the next year or two to make this happen. Putting in literal blood, sweat and tears to cross planet Earth on two wheels.
But alas, cycling by itself doesn't magically generate money. That's where you come in!

Mental health issues can be the most devastating, life-altering and debilitating thing. I need your help kicking its butt.

I'm cycling around the world. Yep, the entire thing: The Himalaya's, the Pamir Highway, the Great Divide. All of it. I'll travel solo and carry nothing more than some clothes, spare tubes, and a tent.
