My motivation

In Nederland nemen gemiddeld meer dan 5 mensen dagelijks de keuze om uit het leven te stappen. Bijna 72% hiervan is man (2024). Dit is veel te veel, en hierom wil ik er met Movember voor zorgen dat dit aantal daalt.

Ik laat in de maand november mijn snor staan, en probeer hiermee zo veel mogelijk geld op te halen voor Movember. Het geld gaat niet alleen naar goede doelen die zich inzetten voor mentale gezondheid, maar ook naar teelbal- en prostaatkanker.

Hiernaast wil mentale gezondheid bespreekbaar maken. Als docent op een middelbare school weet ik als geen ander hoe veel leerlingen hiermee in de knoop zitten.
